Choosing to celebrate a heartfelt ceremony at Charity Church and a gorgeous reception at The Sinclair Baltimore was TJ and Aniya’s dream for their wedding. The couple were born to two prevalent church families. Their parents knew each other from other church endeavors. TJ and Aniya, although they would visit each other’s churches, never crossed paths until TJ and his family joined the church that Aniya’s father pastored.
Aniya was in search of actors for an upcoming Christmas play that she wrote for their church. She felt drawn to ask TJ to play the role of Joseph, as she was playing the role of Mary. (Not knowing that he was going to be her Joseph in real life.) After the play, the following summer TJ and Aniya spent almost every day hanging out or on the phone with each other, as the connection was unmatched and real. That made for the best summer of their lives.
As time went on, the couple had to return to college. It was exactly one year that they were apart, as busy college student schedules and distance made it hard to stay close. But in their case, distance made the heart grow fonder. When they returned from summer break, a minister at their church reached out to both of them and said, God told her to make them the Youth Leaders of the Youth Ministry. From there, TJ and Aniya hit the road running and worked together to make a positive impact in the kingdom. After one of the youth events they hosted, TJ and Aniya were invited to join their parents at a sub shop in downtown Baltimore, however when they arrived their parents had already finished eating. So they were encouraged to stay and eat together, while their parents went home. (It was a date that was created by fate.) Sparks flew, conversation flowed, and love grew immensely throughout the years and brought them to the altar to say “I Do” to a forever love.
The ceremony was one of the most memorable part of the wedding. Tears of joy filled everyone’s eyes as the couple exchanged their personal vows.
This Sinclair Baltimore Wedding was truly a hidden gem. It is so important to hire the right vendors to bring your vision to life.
